Charlotte WestieFest is committed to providing a fun learning environment for our Newcomers.

We have an entire beginner workshop track designed to teach the basics in a building block approach.

We include sessions throughout the weekend focused on creating socialization between the Newcomers with both experienced dancers and staff members.

Our unique “Grow Your Dance Session”, held on Friday afternoon from 2:30pm – 4:00pm, is designed to encourage new dancers to learn and grow in a nurturing environment through interaction with staff and high-level dancers. We utilize a small group approach that fosters each dancer’s development and opportunities to get answers to your questions, gain insights and learn new things.

LEARN
Interact in small group settings with members of our Pro staff, select All-Star dancers, and recognized Community instructors.

COMPETE
Newcomers may choose to challenge themselves (and have fun) by competing in Newcomer/Novice contests.

DANCE
Apply what you learn in “practice sessions” before taking your new skills to the social and/or competition floor.
